About this project
The client’s brief demanded a design with contemporary and utilitarian values. With an apparent simplicity in design, the entire project was conceived having a strong and sophisticated theme all along the house. Unlike the regular furniture units, every furniture replete with the client’s functional need, had to retain the charm of form and design. Thus the whole house was treated with subdued white highlighted with earthy tones of timber together creating a visual play.
The layout of the plan was open and spacious as a result of which the furniture had to be designed to retain the vastness. The TV unit in the living is compact wall unit which continues to the top as a false ceiling thus binding the living in its design. The wardrobes in the bedrooms had customised interiors and were treated with reflecting surfaces to create the visual vastness.
The laudable feature of the house as per the client is the breakfast counter design of the kitchen.
